Butte-Silver Bow Finance Budget

The Finance & Budget Office is dedicated to providing efficient cost savings for the City-County. The office is responsible for annual finance reporting of the City-County's expenditures.

The Butte-Silver Bow Finance & Budget Office has received the highest possible award, the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).

The mission of the office is to ensure that the city and county's financial resources are protected through sound financial management, including allocation of resources consistent with community goals and providing timely, accurate, and reliable information that will assist in making informed decisions.

The Finance & Budget Office provides the following internal services:

  • Purchasing / Payments

The Finance & Budget Office also works with the Butte-Silver Bow Investment Committee to invest and reinvest money of the city and county. For more information on Butte-Silver Bow revenue and finance policies, refer to Municipal Code, Title 3.

Butte-Silver Bow Budget Priorities/Satisfaction Survey for Fiscal Year 2018-2019

The City-County of Butte-Silver Bow recently conducted an online survey to determine the satisfaction of our previous budget year and to help guide us in our budget priorities for the next fiscal year.  Over 511 residents participated in the survey this year which ran from to April 6, 2018 through May 6, 2018.  The results of the survey can be found here.
