AuditorThe Auditor is an elected position. The Auditor's Office provides the City and County of Butte-Silver Bow with an internal auditing capacity. The Auditor is required by law to examine all accounts and payrolls of Butte-Silver Bow. Internal audits are also required of certain smaller school districts within the county. | |
AssessorThe Assessor is an elected position. The Assessor is responsible for assessing personal property and business taxes, keeps tax parcels and records, checks records for accuracy, issues refunds, and submits state reports for the State of Montana Department of Revenue. | |
Clerk & RecorderThe Clerk and Recorder is an elected position and is responsible for maintaining the official records of the City and County of Butte-Silver Bow and also serves as the government's Chief Election Officer. The Clerk and Recorder processes all vouchers and writes warrants approved by the Council of Commissioners' Finance and Budget Committee. | |
