Public input may be submitted in several ways. The Council of Commissioners have established a call-in line which will be live during the meeting. Citizens wishing to make comments, during the appropriate times, are invited to dial 406-497-5009 and follow the prompts. The public is also able to email comments to be read into the record by sending them to public-input@bsb.mt.gov. Written comments are still welcome to be sent by mail or dropped off in the box located in the vestibule near the west entrance to the courthouse.
We would like to thank the citizens of Butte-Silver Bow for their patience and understanding during these challenging times. Together, we will get through this and stay Butte Tough.
How Citizens Can Submit Items for the Council of Commissioners’ Agenda
The public can submit an item for the Council’s agenda using one of the methods below:
- Send a letter (and any attachments) via email to: council.agenda.item@bsb.mt.gov;
- Send a letter through your Council person
If you are unsure who your Council Commissioner is, address your letter to: Council of Commissioners, 155 W. Granite St. Rm. 102, Butte, MT 59701; or
- Hand deliver a letter to either the Council Secretary (Room 102 of the Courthouse) or the Clerk and Recorder’s Office (Room 208 of the Courthouse).
In your letter, briefly describe the action you would like Council to take. Include your address (so we can determine who your commissioner is) and your daytime phone number (so we can contact you if we have questions). Don’t forget to sign your letter!
Items for the agenda are acted on during a Regular Meeting. A regular meeting happens the first and third Wednesday of each month. For your item to be on the agenda, we must receive your letter no later than 2:00 p.m. the Friday before the meeting (allow 4 business days when mailing through postal delivery).
If you have any questions, please contact the Council Secretary at 497-6219 or email council.agenda.item@bsb.mt.gov.
