Welcome to Butte, America!
We are located at the heart of scenic southwest Montana, along the I-90/I-15 corridor. Butte-Silver Bow is a consolidated city-county government known for having the largest National Landmark Historic District in the nation. Butte is a generous community with a resilient spirit. Butte started as a mining camp in the 1860’s and is responsible for “electrifying” the country using our pure copper sulfide. Butte is also known as, “The Richest Hill on Earth" because of the copper, silver, gold, and other ores and minerals that our humble city has produced. We have many attractions, festivals, shopping, recreation, fine dining, and opportunities to offer. Please check out our living and visiting area, as well as our resource directory. Thanks for stopping by!
