MSU Extension and Butte-Silver Bow Parks & Recreation are excited to announce the return of “Terrific Tree Trimming.” Terrific tree trimming is a volunteer activity that everyone in our community is invited to attend. During the events useful, tree trimming techniques will be demonstrated and each week a different section of our urban forest will be targeted whose trees need a little clean-up and support.
Terrific Tree Trimming will begin Thursday, November 3 and run each Thursday through December 1 (excluding Thanksgiving). Trimmers will meet each week at Emma Park (300 S. Dakota Street) at Noon, for a short tutorial on proper pruning methods and then reconvene at the designated trimming location.
If you are interested in participating, please bring essentials for working outside and a pair of pruning shears. Each week, participants’ names will be collected for a drawing for a new pair of top of the line pruning shears. The more you participate the better your chances of winning.
