[ARCHIVED] Donor Commemoration and Project Commencement Ceremony

Please join Butte-Silver Bow, the Corette family, Friends of Stodden Park, and the new Butte Community Pool donors for a Donor Commemoration and Project Commencement Ceremony, this Thursday, November 3, at 1:00 p.m. The ceremony will be outside the old Stodden Park pool building. Butte-Silver Bow wants to honor donors both past and future who have made outdoor public swimming in Butte-Silver Bow a reality. Butte’s first pool was made possible by a generous donation by the Corette family in 1969. It was in the spirit of community investment that led the Town Pump Foundation to challenge others to match their donation to assist with funding the construction of a new pool. The ceremony will feature removal of the Corette family plaque from the old facility for safekeeping prior to the old facility’s demolition, as well as comments from the Friends of Stodden Park, Butte-Silver Bow officials, Town Pump, and the Corette family. Crews will reinstall the plaque along with new donor commemoration in the new Butte Community Pool facility. Coffee and cookies will be available after the ceremony.

For questions, please contact J.P. Gallagher, Director, Butte-Silver Bow Park & Rec. department at (406) 497-6571.
