community_design_workshop

On Thursday August 30, 2018, Butte-Silver Bow, Atlantic Richfield, the State of Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will hold the second in a series of community design workshop concentrating on future use in the project areas known as the Northside Tailings, Diggings East, Buffalo Gulch, Grove Gulch, Blacktail Creek, and the Butte Reduction Works. The workshops will be held at Butte Brewery conference space at Noon and 6 p.m.

This meeting will summarize the information heard at the community design workshops held August 7th, and will show draft conceptual plans based upon the feedback from the August 7th meeting. The format of this meeting will be similar and will include a short presentation and small work group interactions. The event is family-friendly and will strive to incorporate children’s perspectives through facilitated conversations.

Facilitation will be provided by Land Design, Inc., Butte-Silver Bow, and representatives of the technical teams responsible for engineering and design of the clean-up project for the corridor. Representatives from Atlantic Richfield, Montana Department of Environmental Quality and the Environmental Protection Agency will be in attendance to address questions.
