Butte-Silver Bow Chief Executive Matt Vincent is pleased to announce the first annual Butte-Silver Bow “Clean and Green” employee cleanup day on May 2, 2014. In keeping with the Chief Executive’s mission, local government strives to demonstrate a positive example in keeping all properties owned by Butte-Silver Bow clean, attractive and litter-free.
The Chief Executive has asked all government employees to take time on May 2 to clean up the exterior of all government buildings, parking lots and other publicly-owned properties. This coincides with the annual Beautify Butte campaign, as well as the Alley Rally program and the many other ongoing efforts to beautify the Butte community.
Community pride to improve Butte’s image will make a more livable and friendly community. This cleanup is only the beginning of beautification and livability efforts from the city-county. Local government will also take steps to ensure public properties remain clean throughout the year.
In upholding its responsibility to keep its own properties “Clean and Green”, the Butte-Silver Bow government hopes to encourage further collaboration among the many varied efforts to improve Butte and cleanup our city. Let’s get started, and keep the momentum going throughout the year!
