[ARCHIVED] 4th of July Pet Safety Tips

4th of July

Fireworks are scary & terrify pets. More pets go missing on the 4th of July than any other day. You can keep your pets safe this year by doing the following:

  • Create a safe haven for your pets in a sheltered escape-proof part of your home with plenty of water.
  • Turn on the radio or tv to help mask the fireworks with familiar sounds
  • Make sure your pet has identification tags with their name, owners name, phone number & possibly a home address.
  • All dogs and cats in Silver Bow County are required to have a current rabies vaccination; dogs must also have a County license.
