Butte-Silver Bow Chief Executive Matt Vincent and city-county department heads are holding a series of public listening sessions on the city-county budget.
Butte residents are encouraged to attend a session to provide comments and suggestions on departmental and budget priorities for city-county staff to use as they develop the final budget for fiscal year 2014-2015 and long-term goals. Each session will begin with a short informational presentation and handouts. The rest of the session time will be devoted to citizen suggestions, comments and questions.
The first listening session will be held on Tuesday, May 20 at 12:30 p.m. at the Belmont Senior Center, 615 E Mercury St. Additional sessions will be held on Friday, May 23 at 1:30 p.m. at Big Sky Senior Living, 3701 Elizabeth Warren; Tuesday, May 27 at 6:00 p.m. at the Butte Civic Center lobby, 1340 Harrison Ave; and Thursday, May 29 at 6:00 p.m. in the Butte Archives auditorium, 17 W Quartz St. All sessions are open to all members of the public.
Additional listening sessions will be scheduled as needed to provide residents of the greater Butte-Silver Bow area an opportunity to contribute.
