Through July 11, 2014, water crews have started the lateral crossings through the south-bound traffic on Harrison Avenue at the intersections of Garland Avenue and Cleveland Avenues. The intersection of Cleveland is completed with 62 lineal feet of 6” PVC water main and a fire hydrant assembly. Backfilling is in process and will be completed early next week.
Garland Avenue is 90% complete. To date there has been 78’ of 6”PVC water main installed through this intersection. Water crews will install a fire hydrant and backfill to prepare for pavement next week.
Next week, crews anticipate finishing backfill, testing and re-energizing these two lines and have the street repaved. Crews also will start at McKinley Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue installing new water mains through these intersections.
Traffic will be single lane north and south bound through these sections.
