On Wednesday, September 10, the Butte-Silver Bow Tax Increment Financing Industrial District, or TIFID, Board will host a public presentation by Angelou Economics on the results of their recently-completed marketing study on Butte. The presentation will be held at the Butte Archives, 17 West Quartz Street, at 12:00 p.m.
Butte-Silver Bow city-county and economic development partners have been working with Angelou Economics over the past several months to develop a Targeted Market Analysis for Butte-Silver Bow and the Montana Connections Business Development Park west of Butte, which includes the TIFID. A Targeted Marketing Analysis will assist with recruitment efforts by pinpointing what industries are a “best” fit for the community and with developing a marketing message that highlights the things about the Butte community that they find important.
Representatives from Angelou Economics have visited Butte and personally interviewed over 50 business leaders, educators, and public servants in an effort to understand what the community has to offer to potential businesses looking to open or expand.
The results of the project will help in communicating to others outside of the region why Butte-Silver Bow is a good place to do business and will supplement business retention and recruitment efforts.
