About 100 people from throughout Montana will converge on Butte this week for the Montana Trails, Recreation and Park Association conference "Celebrating Montana's Backyard Treasures."
The conference is Wednesday through Friday with most of the sessions at the Finlen Hotel or Thornton Building on East Broadway Street.
The association is comprised of professionals in the parks and recreation field. Conference sessions include recreation trends, the next generation of park systems, recreation financial stability, public land preservation, trail partnerships, shared use policies and applying business principles to parks and recreation.
