The Chelsea Bailey Butte-Silver Bow Animal Shelter is happy to announce that the cats from the unfortunate Delaware Street hoarding situation that came to city-county Animal Services’ attention in July are now available for adoption.
The felines have been taking it easy at the Chelsea Bailey Shelter, 699 Centennial Avenue, getting healthy and learning to trust over the past several months and are now ready for new forever homes.
As most of these special cats have not had much prior human interaction, they are still independent and shy of people. Because of this they are ideal cats to enjoy life on a ranch or out in the country for those barns that need mouse patrols.
All of the cats are spayed and neutered, vaccinated and in good health after receiving the care they needed. The adoption fee for the cats is also already sponsored thanks to very generous donors.
Please contact the Chelsea Bailey Animal Shelter at 406-497-6528 if you are interested in giving these wonderful cats a loving, safe home.
The shelter also would like to offers thanks for the many donations from the Butte community. Residents provided blankets, food, sheets, and other supplies, along with financial help, that were a great help in this difficult situation. The outpouring of kindness was wonderful and greatly appreciated by the cats and shelter staff alike.
