The producer of the Academy Award-winning film “The Help” will be in Butte later this month for the first Montana Forum on Film + New Media.
Brunson Green will give the keynote address.
His Butte visit marks a return to the state after producing his last Montana-shot film, “Pretty Ugly People” in 2008. Starring Missi Pyle, Melissa McCarthy, and Octavia Spencer, “Pretty Ugly People” was shot in and around Glacier National Park with assistance from Montana’s Brutus the grizzly. The film went on to win awards at festivals around the world.
Green’s latest project is a collaborative effort with Montana-born filmmakers Alex and Andrew Smith looking to begin production this winter.
The forum is Oct. 14-15 at the Mother Lode Theatre, 316 W. Park St. Filmmakers, production teams, marketers, and media producers will meet for panel discussions, presentations, a reception and the keynote brunch.
