Votes of the 12 Commissioners were previously available in meeting minutes, which required interested citizens to know the specific meeting date when a vote occurred, then read through the minutes document for that meeting to find the voting record. After some debate, the Council voted on October 15 to list final votes on resolutions and ordinances online in a simplified format.
Currently, the city-county website lists all Council votes on ordinances and resolutions for 2014, and on all ordinances for 2013. Recent votes will be added to the listings within two to four weeks of the vote date, when meeting minutes are published.
