Two two-story, three-bedroom town homes at 623 and 627 W. Granite St are available for purchase through the Butte-headquartered National Affordable Housing Network.
Featured in a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday afternoon, they were built on a vacant lot by Markovich Construction in conjunction with the network and Butte-Silver Bow County. The idea is to emphasize historic neighborhood preservation and new home vitality.
"They're built well enough that they'll last like the other (older) homes," said network Executive Director Barbara Miller. The houses are designed to fit the architecture of the neighborhood. Incentives are offered for potential buyers. "We're trying to market the hill," Miller said. Details: 406-782-8579.
