Dylan Cook scored on layup, and Killian O’Leary added a 3-point basket, giving the Butte High boys’ basketball team all the breathing room it needed in a 62-56 double-overtime win over Butte Central in Thursday night’s all-city rivalry at the Butte Civic Center.
The win snapped a four-game losing streak in the series.
“Give them credit for hitting big shots in the second overtime that put us in a bind early,” Butte Central coach Brodie Kelly said. “But our defense was terrible the whole game.”
The last time the Bulldogs won, they also had to work double-overtime to do it.
