Dear Butte-Silver Bow Residents,
The Public Works Department of Butte-Silver Bow will shortly commence demolition of the burned structure that is located at 750 S. Wyoming Street. This is an action authorized by a court order received by the City and County on April 2, 2015. This demolition activity will likely be completed no later than April 17, 2015.
During the demolition activity, we will keep the worksite wet; this will help to insure that materials containing asbestos will not leave the site. Air monitoring for asbestos containing material at the site will continue throughout the demolition process.
We will likely work from the hour of 7 AM to 7 PM each day during this activity. Our trucks will haul the debris from the site and to the east using Iron Street to the Interstate Highway and then proceed to the landfill at Rocker. All truckloads will continue to be covered in compliance with applicable environmental regulations so as to prevent the loss of asbestos containing materials, safeguarding public health.
There will be Butte-Silver Bow Department of Public Works personnel or private security service personnel onsite at all times during the demolition process.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Nick Sandford, 406-497-6576.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Dave Schultz, P.E.
