Arbor Day Drawing Contest 2015
Depict your “Tree Wish for Butte” a landscape drawing contest
What do you envision our town looking like when you are all grown up? What is your favorite place to play outside? What would it look like with more trees?
Size requirement: 8 ½“x 11”
Submit drawings to: Butte Public Library (front desk), 226 W Broadway St, Butte, MT 59701
Due: Drawings will be accepted from now until April 24, 2015
Drawings will be judged by the Imagine Butte Resource Center. After judging the winners will be contacted through the schools on April 28, 2015, and then photographed with their submission at the Butte Public Library on April 29nd at 4pm. Winners will be announced to the public on Friday April 30, 2015, Arbor Day, in the Montana Standard. Be sure all entries have the student’s name, grade, and school listed on the back. Drawings without this information will not be eligible for the grand prizes.
A selection of the drawings will be displayed in the library windows, hallways, and/or the Carle Gallery (TBD)
Prizes will be awarded by grade: Grades 1&2
Grades 3&4 Grades 5&6
The grand prize for the winner of each grade is a tree to be planted by the Urban Forestry Board and
the students at their respective school mid-May.
Be sure to put your name, grade, and school on the back of your drawing!
