This year’s 9/11 Memorial Parade route was altered slightly due to Montana Department of Transportation road work on Rowe Road and to incorporate a number of area schools. The parade will depart from the Butte Plaza Shopping Mall at 11:00 a.m. this Friday, September 11, 2015. It will take approximately one hour to complete.
The parade route is as follows:
-Leave mall and travel North on Harrison Avenue
-North on Harrison Avenue to Amherst Street
-East on Amherst Street to Sherman Avenue
-North on Sherman Avenue past Whittier Elementary School to Ottawa Street
-East on Ottawa Street to Sheridan Avenue
-South on Sheridan Avenue to Hannibal Street
-East on Hannibal Street to Continental Drive
-North on Continental Drive past Hillcrest Elementary School
-Continue North on Continental Drive to Grand Avenue
-West on Grand Avenue past East Middle School to Harrison Avenue
-North on Harrison Avenue to Front Street
-West on Front Street to Delaware Street
-North on Delaware Street past Butte Central Elementary School to Second Street
-East on Second Street to Utah Avenue
-North on Utah Avenue to Park Street
-West on Park Street past Butte Central High School to Excelsior Avenue
-North on Excelsior Avenue to Hornet Street
-West on Hornet Street to Emmett Street
-South on Emmett Street past J.F. Kennedy Elementary School to Waukesha Street
-East on Waukesha Street to Excelsior Avenue
-South on Excelsior Avenue to Platinum Street
-West on Platinum Street to Emmett Street
-South on Emmett Street to Steel Street
-East on Steel Street past West Elementary School to Girard Street
-North on Girard Street to Platinum Street
-East on Platinum to Montana Street
-South on Montana Street to Front Street
-East on Front Street to Kaw Avenue
-South on Kaw Avenue to Dewey Boulevard
-East on Dewey Boulevard to Utah Avenue
-South on Utah Avenue into Stodden Park where the parade will terminate.
