[ARCHIVED] Superfund Advisory & Redevelopment Trust Authority Grant Program now accepting Applications

Butte-Silver Bow’s Superfund Advisory and Redevelopment Trust Authority (SARTA) is excited to announce the launch of the Redevelopment Trust Authority Grant Program.

Through a negotiated settlement between City and County Butte-Silver Bow and the Atlantic Richfield Company, a Redevelopment Trust Fund has been created. This Trust Fund provides resources for projects that foster the development and beneficial reuse of properties where waste remains or provides community and economic benefits to the people of Butte-Silver Bow.

SARTA has appropriated $325,000 for the 2016 Grant Cycle; $75,000 has been allocated for “Historic Preservation” and $250,000 for “Community and Economic Development.” To download the complete application packet, which includes information on applicant eligibility, program guidelines and evaluation criteria please visit: http://www.co.silverbow.mt.us/DocumentCenter/Home/View/6445 on the SARTA webpage on the Butte-Silver Bow website. Conversely, hardcopy applications are available from at the Butte-Silver Bow Planning Department.

The application period will close at 5:00 p.m. on March 15, 2016. Please submit completed applications via U.S. Mail, or hand delivery to: Butte-Silver Bow Superfund and Redevelopment Trust Authority, c/o Butte-Silver Bow Planning Department, 155 West Granite Street, Room 108, Butte, MT 59701, or by email to jcrain@bsb.mt.gov.

SARTA has scheduled a number of Public Workshops to assist interested parties in completing their applications. The workshops will be held at the Butte-Silver Bow Archives’ Auditorium, 17 West Quartz Street, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Mondays, February 22, February 29, and March 7, 2016.
